| The
Afghan Children's Project raises awareness and funds for children
who have suffered the effects of war, violence, and poverty
in the heart of Afghanistan. Afghanistan is among the poorest
nations in the world. The gross annual household income is
less than $250. More than half the population cannot read or
write. Uninterrupted war has crippled the country for over
30 years. As a result, children, especially female, have been
the greatest victims. |
